Florida has been a great experience so far. I am learning so much about myself as an athlete which has helped mold me into a more positive person. And the work loud on the track…working hard is an understatement! I have never worked so hard in my life and it is surely paying off! There has been many days I think to myself, “I’m never going to make it through this workout.” And then something within me says “Let’s go!!!” and I shock myself of how well I just finished. It’s been a very humbling experience so far.
I have been blessed to be able to train with one of the best 400m runners in the world: 2-time Olympic Silver Medalist, Novlene Williams of Jamaica, and also a Olympic Gold Medalist from the United States, Moushaumi Robinson. We also have a great teammate, Tramayne Gillyard, a former Middle Tennessee graduate.
Everyday we step out there and attack every workout like it’s our last. We not only train but we compete, and almost everyday Charlie Man and Coach Gary will have to pick us up off the track because we leave it ALL on the track and have nothing left in us (literally)! We all have ‘one goal’: to be on that Olympic Podium. That is why we named ourselves “One Goal Track Club”. We are so dedicated and I am so blessed to be surrounded by athletes who are hungry and who aren’t afraid to do the work!
It’s been such an inspiring experience. I am so excited for what is to come this season.
My first meet is on March.17th at the University of Central Florida. Once the day approaches you can find info on the meet and watch for the results:
I am absolutely addicted to the Myo Amour Pro supplements and I am pleased to have them as a proud supporter!

Tony Quinn filled the room with laughter while I had the opportunity to meet and have pictures taken by the Atlantic Superstore representatives with everyone who had attended, (while holding the hand of our great Lunenburg Mayor himself, Don Downe). It was an amazing night with great auction items; including the number one hit which was a painting of the beginning work of the $15M contract of our Bluenose.
The food was amazing; the Best Western staff was incredible. It helped the event go very smoothly!
I had a wonderful time and it seemed like everyone there also had a great time. I have so many people to thank. Everyone who attended and everyone who has made donations so far are much appreciated. Every little bit helps.
I can’t wait to get to Florida with one purpose only; training the hardest I can each and everyday to help my dream come true, representing my Province, Country, and all of who are with me every step of the way.
With all of my hard work I still need your support.
On October 19th, 2011 there will be a Dinner and Silent Auction and Balloon Sale at the Best Western Plus Bridgewater Hotel & Conventional Centre at 7:00 pm (doors open at 6:30 and silent auction starts) to raise funds to support our future Olympian Jenna Martin in her quest to qualify for the 2012 London Olympic Games.
This fundraiser will help Jenna’s elite training, travel and competition expenses leading up to the Canadian Olympic qualifying track meet in June 2012.
